Diar Omar

Diyar Omar is an inn, an archaeological village, and a historical museum located in southern Tunisia near the wonderful village of Matmata. It is considered a vital tourist attraction, as it is full of houses that were dug by the Berbers of Tunisia centuries ago, which are distinguished by their engineering designs, earthen walls, and ancient gates that appeal to many locals and tourists. Foreigners, and these houses are known among the locals as "Al-Hawsh Al-Hafri", and when visiting Diyar Omar, one can learn about the lifestyle of the residents of Al-Zahir Mountains through the groups of local traditional industries on display.
