Divrigi Great Mosque and Hospital
The Divrigi Grand Mosque and Hospital is the first of the Turkish buildings inscribed on the World Heritage List. The construction of this complex was commissioned in the 13th century by Ahmed Shah and his wife Meleki Turan from the Principality of Mengoskele. This masterpiece is famous for its double-domed mosque, hospital and cemetery with its monumental architecture and carving decorations. Traditional and typical stone in Anatolia.
