Djebel Samhan

Mount Samhan is one of the main mountain ranges in the Dhofar region, the highest peak of which is 2,100 meters. The mountain has many levels that pass through deep and narrow mountain paths, some of which reach a thousand feet high. Different plant species grow in the plain of Mount Samhan, such as acacias and trees Frankincense, there are also many streams that serve as an important source of water for most of the animals that live here and are classified as endangered species. In addition to the Arabian leopard, there are many other mammals that live in these mountains including the Arabian gazelle, the Nubian fox and the goat.
