Dolni Vitkovice

remarkable steel plant that ceased operations in 1998 after 170 years of continuous production. The Vitkovice Group, which owns the plant, offers visitors the opportunity to visit the place with a tour of the area, including the mine, coal plant, blast furnaces and other metal manufacturing facilities. These areas were considered a national cultural heritage in 2002, and in 2008 the area was registered on the European Cultural Heritage List.
