Fadhloun Mosque
The Fadloun Mosque dates back to the fourteenth century and consists of three sections: a mosque stands in the middle of a fenced courtyard, its floor is painted with lime paint, and internal accessories include a main hall that was intended for teaching the Qur’an, and next to it are two small rooms, one for housing and the other for keeping supplies, and external accessories that include a chapel and a Quranic school. In front of them is a grain mill and an underground bakery. As for the mosque, it is relatively large and has a short and wide minaret that supported its outer walls, which indicates military interests, because the Fadloun Mosque is a link in a chain of mosques that used to form a second line of defense in the event of an attack by invaders.
