Cardinal Joseph Fesch, Napoleon's uncle, was a great art collector, who commissioned the building of the Museum of Fish in the nineteenth century; When he died he bequeathed an impressive collection of art to the city of his birth, including some 16,000 paintings; That's why the Musée Féche has one of the largest collections of Italian paintings in France, and the museum also has an art room filled with Corsican and Napoleonic exhibits.
