Fondation Martin Bodmer

In the middle of the twentieth century, the Martin Bodmer Foundation set out on a mission to create a library of world literature. This museum was the result of the great effort of the foundation. Today, the museum houses a collection of manuscripts and texts from different countries around the world dating back more than 5,000 years. The exhibition aims to show the splendor of humanity and the human mind through literature. The exhibition collection is not limited to novels and poems only, but also contains letters, scientific texts, and much more.
