Description of the place
Hohensalzburg Castle is one of the best places to see the wonderful rural landscapes of Salzburg. It was built by order of the Prince-Bishops of Salzburg. It is 250 meters long and 150 meters wide, and is one of the largest medieval castles in Europe. Stunning mountains and forests surround the Baroque hilltop tower. The castle itself is also an ancient historical building, and a wonderful place that you can put on the itinerary of the tour that you will take in Salzburg.
