Housed in a house and residence dedicated to a medieval manor king, the Gammell Estrup Museum is Denmark's leading estate museum. The museum was established in 1930 AD, and its activities include preserving and developing folk history in addition to researching and presenting the history of Danish palaces in general. The museum conducts research into all aspects of the city's historic palaces, including architecture, landscape, culture, history, agriculture and economics - both nationally and internationally for each one.
