The German Immigration Center is the largest museum on immigration in Europe, opened on August 8, 2005 in Bremerhaven. The museum depicts more than 300 years of German immigration, especially to the United States, as it displays real stories from the history of immigrant families and details of their immigration. It also enables visitors to experience the immigration process through various interactive exhibitions, and also provides them with access to databases of immigration records.
