Description of the place
The German memorial is located in the civilian cemetery in the town of Sedan, which occupied an important strategic and symbolic position for the German authorities. It was constructed with concrete by the Germans in 1915 in honor of the German soldiers who died in different places in the Ardennes region. There is also a group of military cemeteries around it. which include the graves of French and Belgian civilians who died in the German Sedan prison.
