Gorch Fock I
Jürch Focke I is a German three-masted sailing ship, the first of a series built as school ships for the German Navy in 1933, taken as war reparations by the Soviet Union after World War II, renamed "Tovarich", and then returned to Germany After a short period under Ukrainian rule in the 1990s and a long stay in British ports due to lack of funds for repairs, it sailed to its home port of Stralsund, where it was restored to its original name on 29 November 2003. Today, Goresh Fok is a memorial museum, where extensive repairs have been carried out. In 2008, it receives the public every day in the summer period, as it hosts celebrations and various events on its roof.
