Gorner Gorge
The Journer Gorge is one of Zermatt's top attractions, and the landmark is easy to reach as it's a 20-minute walk from the southern end of Zermatt. Scientists discovered this amazing landmark 130 years ago from now, a rocky gorge formed by the passage of a tributary of the Gornera River from the region over thousands of years. The strait is known for its unique rock formations and magnificent waterfalls, and for the green serpentine stone found in it, a stone formed more than 220 million years ago. Visitors will be able to reach the lowest point of the rocky gorge by descending a wooden staircase.
