Gulbahar Hatun

It is one of the huge monuments in the city and was built in 1510. It is characterized by a wonderful and simple building style in the style of Ottoman architecture. It is only 3.8 km from the city center of Trabzon. It features an interior design with stunning Arabic and Islamic inscriptions and motifs. This mosque is named after Gulbahar Hatun, wife of Sultan Mehmed II of the Ottoman Empire. The mosque is visited by a large number of locals and tourists to get to know the mosque and to wander in the surrounding garden.
