Description of the place
The historic site of Hacienda Mundaca is one of the most famous tourist attractions on Isla Mujeres, located 4 km south of the island, and contains the remains of a palace and gardens that were built by the famous pirate in the nineteenth century, Fermín Antonio Mundaca de Marechaja, when he fell into The love of a local woman known as La Trigueña. The site also includes a large central pond, some old cannons, and a stone arch.
