Haji Bektash Veli Complex
The Haji Bektash Complex is an Alevi cultural monument in the Republic of Turkey, built in the 13th century in the form of a bike for the Sufi saint Haji Bektash Veli after his death. The monument was distinguished by its distinctive and accurate stone design. Today, the Hajj Bektash Veli complex is visited by hundreds of thousands of Alevis, Bektashis, and even Sunni Muslims from Turkey, Albania, and the Turkish diaspora in Europe and around the world. Large festivals are held here every August, and in 2012, the Haji Bektash Veli complex became included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
