The Hardanger Bridge is a stunning suspension bridge connecting the provinces of Voss and Olvik. It is considered one of the longest suspension bridges in the world and the longest bridge in Norway, with a length of 1380 meters or 4530 feet, and rises from the water level of the Hardanger Strait by 55 meters. Work began on building the bridge in 2006, and its construction was completed in 2009, and it was opened to visitors in 2013. Since that time, it has been considered one of the most crowded bridges in Norway, with nearly 2,000 cars passing through it daily. The bridge also provides paths for pedestrians and bicycles for those who wish to enjoy the views.
