The largest railway station in Switzerland is characterized by its beautiful monumental building full of distinctive decorations. The station is located in the old part of the city center of Zurich, specifically at the confluence of the rivers Sihl and Limat. It is the first railway station in the city, and it was built and designed by the architect Gustav Albert Wegman in 1871, and a new building was added to expand the station designed by the architect Jacob Weiner.
