Description of the place
The Herder memorial was established in honor of the German philosopher Johann Gottfried Herder, who is considered one of the most important classical philosophers in the history of Weimar and Germany in general. The memorial was opened in 1850 AD on the occasion of Herder's 106th birthday. His right hand is on the heart, while he holds in his left hand a text with the slogan "Light, Love, Life" written on it.
