The Hessenpark Open Air Museum takes visitors on a fascinating journey to see examples of 400 years of rural life in the state of Hesse. More than 100 historic buildings are located on this 150-acre (333-sq-m) plot in the Thanos Hills, many of which were originally furnished as permanent galleries and museums. You will be able to see the tower clocks, the old post office, the glass polishing workshop and many more, where you will face history and see it with your own eyes. The museum contains one of the finest collections of timber-framed architectural buildings, all preserved and reconstructed to the museum's exacting scientific standards.
