Description of the place
At the top of the Niedensteiner peak stands the Hessenturm observation deck and tower, which is a symbol of Kassel and is 475 meters high. Here, you can enjoy a wide view of the northern Hesse landscape, across basalt cones and watch the brilliant sunsets. The tower is particularly popular with hikers and is surrounded by an amphitheater with many walking paths.
