Description of the place
Al-Hikma Mosque is located in Derbent, one of the charming areas in the Kartepe region. It was built by Abdul Hamid II in 1899 AD, according to the Gregorian calendar. Today, the mosque is one of the oldest mosques in the country, which was distinguished by an Ottoman architectural design, with an ornate minaret and interior walls on which verses from the Holy Qur’an were inscribed.
