Historical Hizmali Bridge

The history of the restoration of the historical Khazmali Bridge, which is located on the Karakoyun stream in the center of the city of Sanliurfa and passes north of the old city, dates back to 1843. This repair was carried out by a person called “Muhammad Saeed”, and the bridge was originally built by Sakina Sultan, daughter of the ruler of Karakoyunlu, where she came To Urfa on the way to Hajj, and built this bridge using cut stone, and the bridge includes a large pointed arch in the middle and smaller arches on either side.
