Hoofdwacht

Near Frithof Square in the city of Maastricht, this distinctive archaeological landmark is located. It is a building and an observation platform, and the War Council and the Guards of Officers and Soldiers used to gather in it in the past. This building was established in 1642 AD and was completed in 1739 AD. The city, which is a classic building built of solid and famous Namur stone in the city, and because of Maastricht's historical status, especially in World War II, this building was one of the city's protective places.
