In 1730, Franz Ketterer built the first cuckoo clock (a type of clock from which a bird comes out making a sound at the end of each hour), and these clocks are among the oldest clocks in the world in a unique and striking way, and here in the Black Forest in Hornberg, there is A large house with many types of cuckoo clocks, called the Black Forest Clock House, consists of two floors displaying many cuckoo clocks. As you go up from the first floor to the second, you can see how the clocks are made and the magnets set to make the little bird come out with great precision. There are also staff working to explain how some clocks work, and you can buy a cuckoo clock as a souvenir.
