They are reliable and capable of traveling long distances across all types of terrain. They are still widely used today for logging and trekking in mountain forest environments. You can enjoy this ancient method of transportation when you visit Hua Hin Elephant Village located about 3 km west of Prachuap Khiri Khan city center on the road to Bala U. Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to feed the elephants some bananas and go for a ride on their backs.
