Hungarian State Folk Ensemble

The Hungarian State Folk Ensemble - considered one of the best in Hungary, was founded in 1951. Its goals were to collect and play authentic folk music and to preserve the Hungarian folk dances and traditional costumes of the regions inhabited by Hungarians by putting them on stage for the public. During its more than five decades of existence, the troupe has achieved its goal by revitalizing the culture of the Hungarian people. Their rich and colorful repertoire entitled the band to be one of the best touring groups in the world. She has performed in 44 countries across four continents to an audience of over seven and a half million people. It is a unique experience that you can do while you are in Budapest.
