Ijen Restaurant Indonesia's first restaurant with a zero waste philosophy, Ijen proudly serves the freshest locally caught seafood using a hand-rolling process in a spacious environment built from recycled materials. Located inside Bali's most progressive beach club, Ijen at Potato Head is Indonesia's first restaurant with a zero waste philosophy - but that's not all. The seafood fresh from the ocean is simply exquisite, caught locally using the hand-rolling process and classically grilled over an open fire. All menus here are printed on sustainably cut paper and recycled truck tires, the furniture is made from cut foam and recycled wood, and the floors are filled with a mixture of chipped boards, glasses and cement. It's a wonderful space, with equally exceptional dishes, such as mahi-mahi, barramundi and local snapper served alongside an array of inventive vegetable dishes and some of the best local sambal we've ever tasted. This is guilt-free feasting at its best.
