Inland Sea Divesite

The famous inland beach on the island of Gozo is a lagoon formed by the pooling of sea water, which is linked to the Mediterranean Sea by a huge cave. Geologists attribute the reason for the formation of this lake to a crack in the limestone that expanded over time to form the cave. The beach is surrounded on all sides by rocky cliffs that make the beach one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. It is possible to go on boat tours in the lake, passing through the cave and then towards the Mediterranean Sea.
