Description of the place
Plaza Isabel la Católica contains a monument dedicated to Queen Isabel and Columbus, who were present at the time of the signing of the Capitulation of Santa Fe, and at this very point Columbus reached an agreement with the Catholic Monarchs for his voyage to the Indies, and these two statues were made In 1892 by the artist Mariano Benllure to celebrate the fourth centenary of the discovery of America.
