Italica is located 9 km northwest of Seville in southern Spain, and it is considered one of the oldest Roman settlements in Spain. It was founded by the Roman general Scipio in 206 BC, and it was the birthplace of the Roman Emperor Trajan and Hadrian Hadrian), and Theodosius. This area includes many Roman ruins, including the huge Roman amphitheater, the remains of the Temple of Emperor Trajan, Roman baths, and many more.
