Description of the place
Across the Al-Ula Valley, there are thousands of inscriptions in the Aramaic, Dadanic, Thamudic, Mina and Nabataean languages, which makes the city of Al-Ula an important site in the study of the Arabic language. Mount Ikma is located north of the Al-Ula Valley, and it is home to the most diverse inscriptions in Al-Ula, as it includes more than 450 ancient Arabic inscriptions, and is distinguished The Zuhair inscription to the east is one of the oldest inscriptions in the Islamic era, dating back to the year 24 AH (644 AD).
