Jacob's Well

An amazing church built in the wonderful tenth century AD near the historic Balata area in Nablus and contains Jacob's Well, also called the Samaritan Well. In Christianity, it is believed that Christ drank from this well when passing through Samaria on his way from Jerusalem to Galilee. The stunning church was built by order of Queen Helena, mother of the Byzantine Emperor Constantine, in the fourth century AD. This church may be rebuilt more than once over time until 1908 AD. This church is distinguished by its amazing construction, with religious drawings, symbols, and statues that decorate it, which give it a special and unique beauty.
