Jardines de Sabatini
Jardines de Sabatini
They are the gardens of the Royal Palace of Madrid, inaugurated by King Juan Carlos I in 1978. They honor the name of Sabatini (1722-1797), an Italian architect of the eighteenth century who designed the palace and the royal stables, which were previously located on this site. In 1933, construction of the gardens began, which was not completed until the late seventies. The gardens have a neo-classical style, consisting of well-interrupted plant beds, with symmetrical geometric patterns, adorned with a pond, statues and fountains. The statues represent those Spanish kings, a great place to relax and take a walk inside.
