Kalba Fort
Kalba Fort is located on the eastern coast of the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. It was recently restored and reopened as a museum and tourist attraction in the city. It was built by the Portuguese in 1624 after they seized a former Islamic fort on this site, and in about 1650 it was expelled. The Portuguese from the area and the Arabs built their own fort on the remains of the castle that was built by the Portuguese commander Gaspar Leite.
