Kandal Cross Shrine

Located on the outskirts of Ooty, this beautiful church is popularly known as East Jerusalem. This church is located at an altitude of 2767 meters above sea level, and was built in the nineteenth century at the time when the British colonialists seized this part of the city of Ooty and worked on its development. This church is distinguished by its unique architecture, as many colors spread throughout it, which give it a cheerful character.
