Karen Ruammit Village

The village of Karen Ruamit is located on the banks of the Mae Kok River. Despite its mountainous location, it is very different from neighboring towns such as Ban Taton and Doi Mae Salong. This ancient village is famous for its elephants, with a long tradition of elephant training and logging, and it preserves its culture, customs and traditions. Ancient to this day, it has become one of the main tourist attractions in Chiang Rai Province.
