Karwendel

With an area of over 727 square kilometres, the Karwendel Nature Park has managed to be one of the most important nature reserve areas in the country. The nature park includes almost the entire Karwendel mountain range. It is the largest protected area in Tyrol and the largest Austrian park. The area is also one of the largest unspoiled landscapes in Central European and Alpine character in unique harmony with centuries of agricultural culture.
