King Abdulaziz Historical Center
The King Abdulaziz Historical Center is one of the most important civilizational and cultural landmarks in the capital, Riyadh. It was inaugurated on the fifth of Shawwal in the year 1419 AH, on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the founding of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by King Abdulaziz. The High Authority for the Development of the City of Riyadh laid the planning foundations, the intellectual content, the urban and architectural design of this civilizational edifice, and supervised the stages of work on it. The King Abdulaziz Historical Center was established to be a national landmark at the level of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to be a cultural center and a bright civilized facade that reflects the history of the Arabian Peninsula and the eternal message of Islam. The King Abdulaziz Historical Center is located in the Al-Murabba neighborhood in the center of Riyadh, and occupies an area of four hundred and forty thousand square meters.
