Kolkheti National Park
Colchiti National Park is the first natural site in Georgia, and it has been nominated on the UNESCO World Heritage List, due to its richness in Colchik forests and wetlands. The lowlands of Colchiti received international attention for the first time in 1996 when Georgia joined the Ramsar Convention; It is an intergovernmental treaty on wetlands of international importance, especially those that serve as habitats for waterfowl. You will be amazed at the number of migratory birds in this park, especially in late spring and early autumn, as the wetlands are an important resting and gathering area for thousands of waterfowl migrating between northern Eurasia and Africa.
