Konak Quay was designed in 1890 by the famous French architect and construction engineer Gustave Eiffel, to serve as a customs building, and it was built near the historical Konak Square and adds great value to the area, and the building was constructed of limestone covered with plaster Crude, as for the roof design, wooden trusses were added, and although it was supposed to be a customs building, its function changed several times, and in the 1960s it began operating as a fish market, and with the restructuring efforts in 2003-2004, Today it has become one of the finest shopping centers in the city.
