Distinctive museum located in a restored 16th-century building, the exhibition rooms are dedicated to the ancient crafts related to working in the fields, but also to all other handicraft activities practiced in the old quarters of Matera: sieve makers, tanners, shepherds, shoemakers, barbers, blacksmiths , tailors, and peasants. The museum includes rooms displaying various tools such as agricultural tools, equipment for storing and processing wheat, and textile equipment. This museum aims to form a dynamic structure and reference for the development of the culture of the past through exhibitions and educational activities that it organizes.
