Description of the place
Lake Hallstatt is one of the most impressive natural phenomena in the Salzkammergut region of Austria. It was formed in the ice ages. It is characterized by its pure blue waters and green slopes surrounding it. It is located at an altitude of 508 meters above sea level at the foot of the Dachstein mountain range. Three Austrian towns, Hallstatt occupies the largest part of it, and the lake is an ideal place for relaxation and fun water sports.
