Lanna Folklife Museum
Lanna Folklife Museum
It's an interesting museum, full of exhibits about the life, history and culture of the Lanna people in northern Thailand. Housed inside the former Thai colonial style provincial court, dating back to 1935, the building has been renovated and now looks like a white colonial style building and despite the exterior the museum offers plenty of information about the city's history in English, Thai and Chinese. There are eighteen different galleries in the museum that present displays on what life was like in the past. While there aren't many historical artifacts in the museum itself, there are detailed scenes of daily life with life-size wax dolls dressed in traditional costumes.
