Laufenburg ruins

It is believed that Löwenburg was originally a watchtower in the late Roman period, and the castle was mentioned for the first time in a document in 1207, and today you can see the remains of this ancient castle, as the castle was severely damaged after the Thirty Years' War that spanned between In 1618 and 1648, after which it became the property of the canton of Aargau and shortly thereafter, the townspeople demolished all the buildings except for the main tower, which still stands today.
