Description of the place
The Lausanne Botanical Garden, located in the ancient city of Lausanne, is one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in Switzerland. The garden extends over an area of 2 hectares, and contains indoor and outdoor spaces, and the indoor spaces include greenhouses and tropical and Mediterranean plants. The garden was established in the year 1593 AD and at that time contained only 500 plants, but at present it contains more than 14,000 plant species collected from different regions around the world.
