Leon Levy Native Plant Preserve
The Leon Levy Native Plant Preserve is a national historic park managed by the Bahamas National Trust. The reserve was founded by Shelby White in honor of her late husband, Leon Levy, who loved Eleuthera's natural environment and wanted to preserve it. The 30-acre reserve serves as a research center for traditional bush medicine and an education center focusing on the importance of vegetation and biodiversity in the Bahamas. Visitors will find rare trees and plants, waterfalls, vast green spaces and much more.
