Leonhardskirche
Leonhardskirche
Protestant church in Basel that has been renovated several times over the ages, although the exact time period for its construction is still being debated. However, most scholars agree that it was built in the twelfth century, and some base their assumptions that it was built in that century on the presence of a group of murals and tombs that closely resemble the details of the twelfth century. This church still maintains its beautiful Gothic architecture, where you find statues, tall towers, ornate windows, etc., and it is a church worth visiting if you are in town!
