Liberty Statue
The Statue of Liberty was built in Budapest, Hungary, for the first time in 1947 to commemorate the liberation of Hungary from Nazi forces during World War II, and because of its location on Gellert Hill, it is one of the prominent landmarks of Budapest. The 14-metre-high bronze statue stands on top of a 26-metre plinth, holding a palm leaf. There are also several smaller statues around the plinth, but the original monument consisted of several others, which were removed from the site and moved to the Sculpture Garden.
