Description of the place
Liebig is a small castle located in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. It is located about 70 meters above the bottom of the Winnenthal Valley. It arose in the medieval period. It belonged to the von Liebegg family, which invaded the city of Bern, located in the Aargau region, and seized it. From the Habsburgs in 1415, the castle was not attacked and the family kept its lands and castle under the control of the new rulers.
